GIULIANI on DE BLASIO: ‘The Mayor Should Step Down, He’s Incompetent’

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.02.20

Former Big Apple Mayor Rudy Giuliani ripped Bill de Blasio this week for his total failure to take control of the country’s biggest city; saying it’s time he “step down” following days of riots and looting in all five boroughs.

“This action did not have to happen, if we had a vaguely competent mayor. This should have been stopped five days ago. I mean, couldn’t they have stopped some of that? We have watched now over and over again people looting, throwing Molotov cocktails, burning cars, and now putting our police in prison, in hospitals, and virtually no major arrests are made,” the former mayor of New York City said.

“The mayor should step down. He’s incompetent,” he added.

“He’s been a terrible mayor for six and-a-half, seven years. Terrible. There isn’t a person in the city that will tell you he hasn’t been a terrible mayor. Now we need a vaguely competent mayor. People are going to die if this man doesn’t get out of the way and let the police department do their job,” Giulinani added.

CHAOS NYC: Rioters Loot Manhattan Stores, De Blasio Describes Situation as ‘Limited Protest Activity’

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.01.20

Rioters smashed windows and looted stores in Manhattan late Sunday night after assembling for citywide protests following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis; a situation Mayor Bill de Blasio described as “limited protest activity.”

“Fox News crews on the scene in SoHo reported hundreds of people stealing from luxury stores – including Chanel and Dior – for hours on Sunday night going into the early hours of Monday morning. The looters were seen piling shoplifted merchandise into vehicles while others rode off with the merchandise in black garbage bags balanced on CitiBikes,” reports Fox news.

“Most of the day we had large crowds throughout the city in multiple boroughs [on Sunday]. But when it got dark, things changed and it changed rapidly,” Shea said on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” on Monday morning. “We anticipated it, but you saw large groups of people had no inclination to all this protest once it got dark, particularly in the area of SoHo between Canal and West Broadway. We had a number of stores broken into.”

MORE CHAOS in NYC: Rioters Clash with Police, Hundreds of Looters Strike Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.02.20

Hundreds of looters hit the streets of New York City for a second straight night Monday; striking stores in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Mid-town Manhattan hours after protesting the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis last week.

“The roving gangs began their spree of rampage after a demonstration over George Floyd’s death earlier in the evening, at times clashing with peaceful protestors who desperately attempted to stop the looting and destruction,” reports the New York Post.

“It’s systemic, one person breaks the glass with something,” said one eyewitness. “Someone else comes up on a bike and robs the store, it’s systemic, you can see.”

“It’s coordinated,” one source said. “They are not out-of-towners. We know who they are.”
