TRUMP in 1980: ‘I Would Dedicate My Life to this Country,’ America Needs People with ‘Strong Views’

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.24.20

Recently unearthed footage of Donald Trump’s 1980 interview with legendary columnist Rona Barrett is shedding new light on the President’s unlikely and historic journey from New York businessman to the White House.

“For some people the ultimate goal in life has been becoming the President of the United States. Would you like to be the President of the United States?” asked Barrett.

“I really don’t believe I would, Rona. But I would like to see somebody as the President who could do the job. There are very capable people in this country,” said Trump.

“Why wouldn’t you dedicate yourself to public service?” she pressed.

“Because I think it’s a very mean life. I would dedicate my life to this country, but I see it as being a mean life. I also see it as somebody with strong views, somebody with the kind of views that are maybe a little unpopular but may be right, wouldn’t necessarily have the chance of getting elected against somebody with no great brain but a big smile,” he added.

'WE'RE BACK': Steelworker Brought to TEARS While Discussing President Trump

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.27.18

A steelworker in Granite City, Illinois became emotional when asked to comment on the President’s pro-America speech Thursday night; breaking down into tears and thanking Trump for “fighting for us.”

The unnamed worker was asked to comment on the Commander-in-Chief’s fiery remarks as left the rally, saying “it’s just nice to know that we have someone fighting for us.”

“This guy was stopped by a reporter on his way out, and he got emotional at the idea that jobs are coming back for the folks that live in that city,” said Fox. “What is the one thing you’ll take with you from his speech today?”

“Sounds like we’re going to do good. It’s just nice to know that we have someone fighting for us, to keep our jobs. It was rough for a lot of us,” said the steelworker. “We’re back.”

'WORST MAYOR EVER': Bill De Blasio MOCKED at ‘Green New Deal’ Rally Inside Trump Tower

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.13.19

Big Apple Mayor Bill de Blasio was publicly mocked during a rally inside Trump Tower over the weekend; with countless protesters panning his decision to “ban” future construction of “classic” glass and steel skyscrapers.

“New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio faced a crowd of angry protesters Monday at a raucous rally promoting the city’s Green New Deal inside the lobby of Trump Tower, where the Democrat threatened President Trump’s family company with millions of dollars in fines if his buildings don’t comply with new environmental standards,” reports Fox News.

“Speaking in front of the same escalators where Trump launched his 2016 campaign, de Blasio blasted the president’s rollback of Obama-era environmental policies, his move to pull the United States out of the Paris Climate Agreement and his appointment of climate change skeptics to the Cabinet,” adds the article.

“His buildings are one of the biggest polluters in New York City,” de Blasio said. “Cut your emissions or we’ll cut something you really care about.”
